Steak: Among the most popular meat dishes served at Borgo Antico, Florentine Beefsteak certainly ranks high. A local specialty, known the world over, a Florentine steak is a thick t-bone, grilled quickly and served rare. The key to preparing a memorable Florentine Beefsteak is, of course, the perfect meat, which we purchase exclusively from our most trusted butcher.
The pizza you’ll find at Borgo Antico has been cited by some foreign bloggers as one of the best in Florence. Prepared exclusively in a wood-burning oven, as you’d expect from one of the best pizzas around, 20 or so variations give you an ample variety to choose from. Our specialty pizzas include the Borgo Pizza with fresh little datterini tomatoes, authentic buffalo mozzarella, quality olive oil and fresh basil. All the flavors of the Mediterranean in one pizza. We also accept pizza orders to go.
Pasta: Could there be a more Italian dish than pasta? The world envies us the quality and infinite variety of our pasta dishes, and we proudly defend the tradition. At Borgo Antico, we season our pasta with both meat and fish sauces, and in addition to traditional pasta, we also offer dishes made from kamut pasta.
